Katie De Boer, Entering Class of 2008
Katie De Boer received her B.A. in Classics from the University of Chicago in 2007 with a senior honors thesis titled "Pars Servitutis: Changing Views of Barbarians from Caesar to Tacitus." She spent the following year working as Grants Assistant at the Field Museum in Chicago. Her primary interests are in late Republican and early imperial Roman history, Roman and Greek conceptions of 'self' and 'other', and Roman historiography.
