D.CabanissWe are pleased to announce that Junior Drew Cabaniss has joined the Order of the Golden Fleece, and has won a Summer Undergraduate Research Fellowship (SURF) from the Office for Undergraduate Research. He will use the funds for his current archaeology project: “Structured Space: Society and Economy in Archaic Azoria.”

The classical archaeology major will develop this project while working as a trench master for the Azoria Project this summer. There, the senior student staff member will expand upon his previous work, “Network Economics in Roman Britain,” which he presented in January at the 115th Annual Meeting of the Archaeological Institute of America, Chicago.

The Order of the Golden Fleece is the University’s highest and oldest honor society.
