Kim Miles, Student Services Manager in the Department of Classics, has received the Excellence in Graduate Student Services Manager Award from the Graduate School and the Graduate and Professional Student Federation (GPSF). This award is given to recognize noteworthy support to students through the challenges and success of the graduate experience. Katelin McCullough, one of the nominators, said “we all know that Kim has been working extremely hard despite the isolation of COVID-19 and wanted to do what we could to show how much we appreciate her and the work she does. I nominated Kim because any time that I have a question or a problem, Kim has always had the answer or found someone who knew what the best course of action was. Further, not only does she try to make this department feel home-y with her excellent baking skills, but she goes above and beyond to actually develop relationships with all of the graduate students here.” Kim has worked in the Department of Classics since 1992. Her hard work and presence in the department throughout the years is appreciated by all, making her more than worthy to receive this award. Congratulations Kim!
Thank you to the graduate students who recognized Kim’s efforts! This award comes with a plaque and cash, as well as recognition at the Annual Graduate Student Recognition Celebration.
