Henry SpelmanHenry Spellman, who received his BA in Classics (Combined Greek and Latin) at UNC in 2010, has been appointed Fellow at Christ’s College at the University of Cambridge. While at UNC, Henry received the Eben Alexander and Epps Prizes in Greek, and the Suskin Prize in Latin, as well as the Herington Scholarship. He won a Rhodes Scholarship to Oxford University where he earned his doctorate in Classics at Balliol College. His first book, entitled Pindar and the Poetics of Permanence was published with Oxford University Press in 2018. Henry served as W.H.D. Rouse Junior Research Fellow at Christ’s College, Cambridge, where he has now been appointed Fellow and Assistant Professor in Classics.
