Graduate students are asked to attend the proseminar, "Greece and the Near East," taught by Kenneth Sams from 12:20 to 1:10 pm Mon., Feb. 9 in MU 304. MA students in our department must attend 15 proseminars over their first two years, at least five of which must be designated as involving theory. Students may contact the director of graduate studies to confirm their progress toward meeting the requirement.

Duke-UNC Classics Graduate Colloquium

The classics departments at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and Duke University are hosting the 26th annual UNC/Duke Classics Graduate Colloquium, to be held April 10-12. The theme is "Inside/Outside: Approaches to the Foreigner in Ancient Greece and Rome."
