Donald Haggis and students from the department were recently featured in The News & Observer for their work on the Azoria Project.

Highlighting the strong ties between the Greek site and the greater North Carolina Triangle area, the local newspaper interviewed Haggis about the history and founding of the award-winning archaeological site. Graduate students Emma Buckingham and Catharine Judson and undergraduate Julia Juhasz explained how toiling in the field has given them a greater appreciation and enthusiasm for their work and studies.
