In collaboration with Professor Vered Lev Kenaan (Comparative Literature, Haifa University), Professor Patricia Rosenmeyer has organized an international workshop on “Modern Jewish Receptions of Classical Antiquity” on May 18-20, 2021.
The 14 presentations cover a wide range of texts within the 20th century, and explore how authors writing in Hebrew, Arabic, and Yiddish have been inspired by classical sources, whether through allusion, imitation, or translation.
