James Rives will present a paper at a conference on P. Nigidius Figulus, a friend of Cicero, a die-hard political opponent of Julius Caesar, and a remarkable scholar with a wide range of interests. The conference, which will be conducted over Zoom on Saturday and Sunday, April 2nd and 3rd, is open to the general public. Organized by Katharina Volk of Columbia University, it will feature speakers from Paris, Rome, Palermo, and St. Andrews as well as faculty from a number of US institutions.
