Ullman Library
Welcome to Ullman Library! Located on the third floor of Murphey Hall, our department library came into being when Gertrude Weil of Goldsboro funded the purchase of B.L. Ullman’s library. Since then, the department library has benefited from the generosity donors who have donated books and gifted the department through the Ullman donation fund. The collection now contains over 10,000 volumes and a number of journals. The library operates independently of UNC Libraries and its collection does not circulate throughout the University system. Visitors and students looking for a quiet study place are welcome to use the library, though only members of the department may check out materials. Users may not remove library items from Murphey Hall.
